Step 1: Go to Settings and privacy
Go to Settings and privacy. You should see a banner that says something like What are you doing? Just below that, click on Deactivate my account. This link is for both personal and business accounts. If you don’t see it, just scroll down until you find another option for deleting your account (it will be around 11/12 options down).
When you have clicked Deactivate my account, Twitter will ask you why you want to leave: I no longer use Twitter or I need a break from Twitter. Select one of these two options and continue.

Step 4. Save your draft
When you’re happy with what you’ve written, go ahead and click save draft. If you’re not done yet, click edit instead. Otherwise, click publish. You’ll be able to come back later and finish editing or changing anything you want. Just make sure that once you are ready for people to see it, it’s published! You can change who can see it at any time by clicking on edit next to publish.
